One Way Forcing Deck

Trick with a One Way Forcing Deck.  The key to using this deck is to not call attention to it, just handle it as if it is a normal deck.

The Tossed-Out Deck   You will need two ordinary cards from an additional matching Bicycle back deck (not included). Place an ordinary card on the bottom of your force deck and another ordinary card on the top. The force deck is positioned between the two ordinary cards.

Start with the deck rubber banded around the center of the short side
of the deck. Take off the rubber bands and spread the deck face down saying, “Most magicians would have you pick a card, but I will do it a little differently. I’m not going to have you pick the top card (show the top card and replace it on top). I’m also not going to use the bottom card as you have already seen that card and so have I” (tilt the deck up so they see the bottom card). Wrap the rubber bands around the center of the short side of the deck.

Show your spectators how to peek at a card while the deck is rubber banded in your hands with the deck face down. Riffle the cards face down, stop, look at the card you stopped on, and release. Now toss the deck to a spectator and have them look at a card, just like you demonstrated. Then, have the spectator toss the deck to someone else and have them do the same thing. Then a third person is tossed the deck and they peek at a card as well.

Now, have the deck returned to you. Each spectator will have looked at the same card, the force card (the 5 of Diamonds, for example). Now ask only those three spectators to stand up. Place the deck in your pocket and hold your hand up against your head concentrating, while you say two random cards and your force deck card. For example you say, “7 of Clubs – 5 of Diamonds – Queen of Spades.” Now for the climax. Tell your spectators, “If you heard your card called out, please sit down.” Each of your spectators will have heard their card called and they sit while you take a bow!
